INGREDIENTS

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 375F; grease 8" square pan (or cast iron skillet).
  2. Melt butter in large skillet.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in sugar.
  4. Add eggs and beat until blended.
  5. Combine baking soda with buttermilk and add mixture to pan.
  6. Stir in cornmeal, flour and salt until few lumps remain.
  7. Pour into pan.
  8. Bake for 30-35 min; a toothpick placed into center should come out clean.

NOTES

All mixing can be done via mixer, doesn't have to be in skillet.
