6 slices bread, cubed

1/2 cup raisins

2 cups milk

2 large eggs

1/4 cup sugar

2 tsp vanilla

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp nutmeg

Cubed Apple (optional)

Craisins (optional)
Sauce
-
1 1/4 cup powdered sugar

6 Tbsp butter
-
1 large egg, beaten
-
1/4 cup dark rum, brandy, or apple juice.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- Butter baking dish
- Combine milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl.
- Combine bread and raisins/craisins/apple in buttered baking dish.
- Pour milk/spice mixture over bread/raisins.
- Let stand for 5 minutes to let bread absorb liquids.
- Cook for 50 min at 350 F.
- Sauce: Combine ingredients in sauce pan. Cook on low heat for ~3 minutes, stirring constantly. Serve on/with pudding.
